Delcam is seeking a sales engineer for Southern California and surrounding states.

Person description

Ideal candidates will be outgoing self starters with experience in both industrial sales and operations of CNC machines. Experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, CNC programming or CAD/CAM is a strong plus. Responsibilities include prospecting, basic technical demonstrations and closing sales opportunities.  The salesman will be headquartered in Salt Lake City, or Pasedena and travel throughout the territory on a routine basis.  For candidates with significant sales experience we will consider a home based office in the Western US.

Job Description

Delcam seeks a bright, energetic professional for an applications engineer position. This person will support and train customers in the use of our advanced CAD/CAM software products (like Powermill, Powershape, FeatureCAM, etc). He/she will conduct training sessions live or over the web, and answer questions and solve problems via email and telephone.

We are looking for someone with a great attitude who likes working with people. Must be able to learn quickly and problem solve effectively. The successful candidate must be a team player who can work well with our software developers and other applications personnel. The position requires excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow through. Some domestic and international travel will be required.

• Have 3+ years programming experience with relevant CAD and CAM software (preferably Delcam software)
• Be able to travel internationally
• Be outgoing
• Possess excellent written communications skills
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Be already located on the west, preferably Salt Lake City or willing to relocate
